Those who think that everything consists of throwing corn, oil and salt into a saucepan and then shaking it are very wrong.  HOW TO USE OIL? 

 As with most fried foods, you have to use a lot of oil to get really crispy popcorn. “Many” is of course a relative term. To get the popcorn flavor you're looking for, you should at least pour enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan. 

 DO NOT SHAKE THE POT
